Bound by Fire and Destiny
Every story begins somewhere unexpected.
For Bound by Fire and Destiny, it began with a photograph.
A dark cliff rising above impossibly blue water. Wild, untamed waves crashing against black stone. The image stayed with me long after I closed the screen, and slowly a kingdom began to emerge.
That kingdom became Eldryn.
A land shaped by sea winds, ancient loyalties, and the weight of bloodlines that stretch back further than anyone remembers. A place where power is inherited, but never truly secure.
At the heart of the story is a royal family carrying both privilege and burden. Crown Prince Vikthore was one of the first characters to appear, followed closely by the queen. Their world arrived in fragments: grand halls overlooking dangerous coastlines, political expectations woven into every choice, and the quiet loneliness that often accompanies power.
Like many of my stories, Bound by Fire and Destiny explores identity, belonging, and the tension between who we are expected to become and who we truly are beneath those expectations.
The story is still evolving as I write, revealing new secrets and asking questions I don’t yet have answers to. But some things have remained constant from the beginning:
- Windswept cliffs above a restless sea.
- Ancient kingdoms and dangerous loyalties.
- Characters forced to choose between duty and desire.
- The belief that becoming yourself often requires losing the life you thought was meant for you.
Eldryn began with a single image.
Everything else grew from there.
With love,
